So--after temperatures above freezing at night for well over two weeks, the temperature at 5 am this morning was 26.

There go the tomatoes. I don't have the heart to look.
I'm not completely crushed. Now I've got something to cruise the farmer's market for next Wednesday when we go to Amish Country. I'll wait now and try again in mid-May.

You can plant lots of things early but NOT tomatoes. Try putting some lettuce in, though. It doesn't mind a light frost. Spinach either. And all kinds of stuff. Check out what Norma has already planted.
